Lane Restrictions Needed for Bridge Inspection

Weather permitting, there will be nightly alternating lane closures on the top deck of the Sherman Minton Bridge to perform bridge inspection activities.

Westbound I-64 single lane closures will be in effect Monday, February 20, and Tuesday, February 21 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.  Crews will be working in both lanes at various times using either a full lane closure or mobile lane closure.

In addition, the Eastbound I-64 right lane (bottom deck) will be closed beginning Wednesday, February 22 from 9 p.m. until midnight, followed by a left lane (top deck) closure Thursday, February 23 from midnight until 5 a.m. Please be aware of crews working and use caution.

All westbound ramps within the project corridor will remain accessible during these lane closures.  Delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes where possible.
