The Sherman Minton Renewal Project Team has launched a new website in preparation for construction, expected to start in early summer 2021. While the overall look is refreshed and the content has expanded, the website URL remains the same: ShermanMintonRenewal.com.
Improvements to the website include a new construction page with updated maps, graphics and project timeline, a construction-related FAQ’s section and updated photos and videos page.
The project website serves as a hub for all project news, resources and construction information. The public is also encouraged to sign up for e-newsletter and text alerts from the project website to follow the progress. Below are a few of the site’s highlights.
Construction Page
The new construction page on the website will serve as a central location for project news as the project moves into the first phase of construction. An overview of the construction timeline and holiday work schedule are included to help motorists plan ahead for travel throughout the year. These dates are subject to change due to weather delays and other factors.
Expandable maps are also available on this page, previewing some of the lane closures and restrictions to be expected over the next three years.
Construction-Related FAQ's
A construction-related FAQ’s section has also been added to the website to address questions about the upcoming repairs to the Sherman Minton Bridge. Information covers a range of topics—from the selection of the contractor to details about the work anticipated for each phase of construction.
These commonly asked questions will be updated throughout the project to reflect the most up to date information. For any additional questions, members of the public can contact INDOT’s Next Level Customer Serve Platform, INDOT4U, by phone at 855-INDOT4U (855-463-6848) or email at indot@indot.in.gov.
