Short-Term Traffic Stoppages on Ramp From I-265 East to I-65 North Wednesday Night

There will be intermittent traffic stoppages on the ramp from I-265 eastbound to I-65 northbound from 9:30 p.m. to midnight on Wednesday, June 22 to perform pavement testing.

Mobile work zones and short-term stoppages will be implemented on the I-65 northbound ramp to obtain pavement cores for testing purposes.  Multiple test cores will be removed, each requiring the ramp be closed to traffic for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Law enforcement and construction personnel will be staged on eastbound I-265 prior to the I-65 northbound ramp to control traffic movement.  When the I-65 northbound ramp is open between core removals, motorists should be aware of crews moving between core work locations.

Delays are expected between 9:30 p.m. and midnight on Wednesday, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes where possible.
