Lane Restrictions for Guardrail Repair

The Sherman Minton Renewal team will be repairing guardrails within the project area during the evening of Monday, January 22, weather permitting.  Lane restrictions and ramp closures will be implemented as follows:

  • I-64 Westbound between New Albany and I-265: Lane/shoulder restriction beginning on or after 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • I-265 Eastbound ramp to I-65 South: Lane/shoulder restriction beginning on or after 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Access to exit ramp will be maintained.
  • I-64 Eastbound to I-265 Eastbound Ramp: Ramp closure beginning on or after midnight (12:00 am) to 4 a.m.  Traffic wishing to access I-265 eastbound should continue east to the New Albany exit and follow detour signs to access I-64 westbound back to I-265.

These restrictions may or may not be in effect for the entire period noted. Motorists should slow down, drive distraction free and be aware of the changing traffic patterns.

Delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes where possible.
