Sherman Minton Bridge Renewal Delays Reopening of Eastbound Lanes

The Sherman Minton Renewal team delayed the reopening of I-64 eastbound to traffic this morning due to required maintenance of traffic adjustments.  A single lane is expected to be open to traffic overnight.

“We regret any inconvenience to drivers caused by the delay of the reopening,” said Danny Corbin, INDOT Project Manager. “Crews are working to open the single lane as soon as possible.”

A single lane will remain open on I-64 eastbound until 5 am on Friday, May 24 to allow for additional concrete curing time.  The remaining two lanes will be opened Friday morning providing three open lanes for eastbound traffic through the Memorial Day weekend.
